SCORM School 101 - The SCOurse

In December 2002, the Academic ACL Co-Lab released an online self-tutorial for academic, business, industry or government professionals interested in learning about standards for interoperability and reuse in e-learning. This tutorial was nicknamed the SCOurse and was downloaded by thousands of users. A minor update to include information about SCORM 2004 3rd edition was completed in the fall of 2007 and the SCOurse was renamed: SCORM School 101.

Audience: The Co-Lab's self-paced SCORM School 101 is ideal for administrators or curriculum designers, and is open to everyone, not just academic professionals.

There are two options for using SCORM School 101:

  1. Take the tutorial online through our system here
  2. Download the entire course package (link to .zip file) to run on your own LMS or simply to “look under the hood” at a SCORM package. Note that your LMS must be at able to run SCORM 2004 3rd edition content packages.
