SCORM 2.0: LETSI Announces a Call for Participation

LETSI, Learning Education Training Systems Interoperability (LETSI), Learning Education Training Systems Interoperability, the international, nonprofit federation dedicated to improving individual and organizational learning, has taken on the task of developing the next generation of SCORM, the Sharable Content Object Reference Model. As part of this initiative, LETSI is soliciting White Papers from all stakeholders interested in shaping the future direction of SCORM and the implementation of learning systems technology.

Partnership with Wisconsin Charter School Association

MADISON, WI (6/10/08) — The Academic ADL (Advanced Distributed Learning) Co-Laboratory is pleased to announce a new extensive partnership agreement with the Wisconsin Charter Schools Association (WCSA). The agreement includes co-locating the WCSA offices within the Co-Lab, AADL provision of technical services, and future project development.

David Wirth is the Assistant Director of the Academic ADL Co-Lab He earned a B.S. degree in Education through the UW-Madison School of Education. After graduating David taught for seven years in the Madison Metropolitan School District before becoming an instructional designer for the University of Wisconsin Extension. David has worked for the Academic ADL Co-Lab for over three years, but has been involved in the ADL SCORM initiative for five years and was the first official SCORM Auditor for ADL. David has helped to create the Co-Lab’s SCORM School and is currently working on an advanced SCORM Sequencing online course.

Besides managing e-learning development teams David has over ten years of experience in developing, designing and deploying online learning in K-12, Higher Education and corporate environments.

David is currently working on projects with Florida Virtual School (FLVS) involving the development, deployment and research of games for learning and next generation content.
